Each card re-runs the same projection as your Freedom Year with one thing different. You put in the figure; it shows what moves.
How it works
- Your roadmap today, first — The year you are on, and what it has you living on per year and per month, before you change anything.
- Work a little longer, or go part-time — More years before you stop, or earning part-time for a few years rather than stopping outright.
- Sell an asset — A property, a share parcel, crypto or a business — in a year you choose, with the tax on the way out in the maths.
- Buy an investment property — Deposit out, loan on, growing from the year you pick.
- Invest more, or live on less — A one-off amount or a monthly one, and what trimming your future costs is worth in years.
- A worse decade for markets — Because the honest question is not only what happens if it goes well.
- Nothing moves unless you say so — A scenario is a question, and it leaves your position untouched — until you add it to My Plan, which commits it so every projection funds it from then on.
- My Plan, and a timeline — The steps you kept, in order, with what the plan is worth as a whole and what each step is worth alone. Drag a year and everything downstream re-reads.
Common questions
What can I model in Compound?
Working longer, going part-time, selling a property, share parcel, crypto holding or business, buying an investment property, investing more (one-off or monthly), reducing your living costs, a large expense you know is coming, and weaker market returns. Each is answered as a change to your projected Freedom Year.
Does a scenario change my real numbers?
No. Nothing changes your numbers unless you add it to your plan. A scenario is a question you can ask as often as you like and leave behind.
How accurate are the answers?
They are estimates to explore, not predictions and not financial advice. Every card runs through the same engine as your Freedom Year, on published long-run rates and the assumptions shown in the app, all of which you can change. Markets do not repeat on schedule, which is exactly why a worse-returns scenario is one of the cards.
