How it works
- Live market prices — Shares, ETFs and crypto update from live data — no re-entering values.
- Allocation at a glance — How your wealth is spread across property, super, listed investments, cash and crypto.
- Gains against cost base — Value versus what you paid, per holding and overall, with cost base recorded per unit or in total.
- Import a statement — A super statement, loan statement, dividend advice, valuation letter or holding statement. Compound reads it, shows you the figure, and updates the holding when you say so. The file is read once and never kept.
- Contract notes by email — Forward a contract note and the holding updates itself, rather than waiting for you to type it in.
- Held wherever it is held — Personally, in a trust or company, or holding by holding inside an SMSF.

Can I track an SMSF portfolio holding by holding?
Yes. A self-managed super fund can be tracked position by position with live prices, shown on its own or combined with the rest of your wealth.
Does it record what I paid?
Yes. Each holding carries a cost base, recorded per unit or as a total, which drives both your gain since purchase and the capital gains lines in the tax pack.

Compound allows me track bank accounts, shares and property all in the one app. I can view the year I become financially independent but also use their calculators and budgeting tools to run scenarios and watch how that freedom year is impacted. One of my favourite features is that my wifes account and my account can be linked so our financial goals are visualised and aligned.
