A budget with somewhere to go
What life costs now, and once you’re free.
Most budgeting apps tally where the month went. This one shows what the leftover is buying you: a year.
How it works
- No blank page — Every category pre-fills with typical costs for a household your size in your area — the benchmark style lenders use — and you adjust from there.
- Your surplus, named — What is actually left each month to invest, rather than a number you hope is positive.
- The future-cost question — What will each cost look like once you are self-funded? That figure, in today’s dollars, drives the projection.
- Straight into the Freedom Year — Trim a cost or lift the surplus and the year moves. Budgeting stops being a chore with no payoff.
Common questions
Is Compound a budgeting app?
It includes one. Compound tracks household income, expenses and your monthly surplus, and unlike a standalone budgeting app it connects that surplus to your net worth and the year you could reach financial independence.
Do I have to categorise every transaction?
No. Compound is built around what life costs per month rather than per receipt: categories pre-fill with typical household figures and you adjust the ones that are wrong. If you want transaction-level detail, import a bank statement CSV.

What a fantastic and innovative app this is. It has helped me combine all my finances in one place rather than having to check 5-10 individual apps. Keep the new features coming Compound!
Could not recommend this app enough! It has allowed me to sit down and really look at my finances. I now have a clear goal and know exactly what to do to get there. Well done to the team at Compound for creating such an innovative product.
