Compounding does not need supervision. Watching it daily mostly manufactures anxiety, so Compound will keep you out at your own request.
How it works
- You set the interval — Once a day, once a week, once a month — or off, which is where it starts.
- A calm screen, not an error — It shows the one number that does not need watching — the year you are aiming at — and the date the doors open again.
- A hold, not a wall — Hold for three seconds and you are in. Real edits and genuine emergencies are not the thing being prevented; the reflex is.
- An override costs the check-in — Going in early uses that period’s visit rather than quietly switching the feature off.
- It follows you — The setting lives on your account, so the lock holds on the web and in both apps rather than on one device.
Common questions
Why would I lock myself out of my own app?
Because checking a long-term number every day changes nothing except how you feel about it. The bigger picture is opt-in friction against a reflex most investors recognise, and you choose the interval.
Does it stop Compound tracking while I am out?
No. Prices, values and your monthly history keep updating the whole time. The only thing the setting changes is how often you look.
What if I need to get in?
Hold the button for three seconds and you are in. It is available on every plan and on every device, and you can switch it off in Settings whenever you like.
