I've worked in Australian banking and finance for more than sixteen years, and I co-founded a mortgage brokerage called Sabea. I've also invested my own money across the lot: property, shares and ETFs, crypto, super and a business.
I tracked my own net worth in a spreadsheet for years, and it never answered the question I actually cared about: what year can I stop working? A spreadsheet doesn't know super is locked away until 60. It doesn't know you pay tax on the way out. So the answer it gave me was wrong. Compound is the app I wanted, and it understands Australian super, property and structures.
Why Compound exists
Most Australians were never taught how wealth actually works. Financial confidence shouldn't depend on luck or background, yet most people leave school without learning how super works, what equity really is, or what it takes to one day stop working. The result is millions of capable Australians with no clear view of where they stand.
